💥 GAME 3 UPDATE: SOUTH SIDE CLAIMS RIVALRY WEEK! 💥

Andy: VICTORY IS OURS! 🏆 I finally won a bet against Leesl, and it feels incredible! My White Sox offense came through big time with 15 hits, led by Tristan Peters matching a franchise record with a home run in his 5th straight game! Dropping 10-plus runs in back-to-back games to take the series decider 10-4 is how you handle business. You gave it a good run, Leesl, but the South Side reigns supreme this week!

Leesl: Alright Andy, soak it up while you can! But let’s be real—my Rangers practically handed you that game. We drew 10 walks and had traffic on the bases all night, but going 2-for-14 with runners in scoring position and leaving 12 men stranded completely killed us. You don’t get many opportunities like that against a league rival, and with only 28 games left, we cannot afford to let winnable games slip away. Enjoy the win, because payback is coming! But really quick: which dial on the sink contraption turns on the bubble party?

GAME 2 UPDATE: THE SOUTH SIDE STRIKES BACK!

Andy: Game 2 was a total must-win for my White Sox, and we set the tone right out of the gate! After watching Texas jump ahead on Monday, our offense flipped the script. Dropping a 6-run barrage in the 1st inning is how you bounce back from a loss! Texas never backed down, but the Sox held on for an 11-7 victory to tie up the series. Now it all comes down to Game 3 to settle our bet. SOUTH SIDE PRIDE!

Leesl: Don’t get too cozy up there in the win column, Andy! Yes, Jacob deGrom had a rough 1st inning, but if you think an early 6-run hole was going to make us fold, you don’t know this Texas team. We clawed our way back, kept the pressure on, and had your White Sox sweating all the way to the 9th with the bases loaded! You barely escaped with that 11-7 win. Game 3 is winner-take-all, and somebody is getting handed the dish sponge tonight. TIME TO SEAL THE DEAL!

GAME 1 UPDATE: RANGERS STAMPEDE THE SOUTH SIDE!

Leesl: Now that is how you start a road trip! An 11-2 blowout against Andy’s White Sox! It was a complete team effort—8 different Rangers got hits, 5 drove in runs, and Kumar Rocker gave us a clutch quality start. We started scoring in the 1st inning and literally never stopped, putting up runs in 7 different innings! When this Texas team plays like that, we look unstoppable. Games like last night show exactly what we’re capable of. I just need one more win to seal the series… LET’S GO RANGERS!

Andy: Enjoy it while you can, Leesl. Going into Monday night, everyone knew the key to beating Texas in 2026 is stopping them from scoring first—46 of their 65 wins came when they drew first blood. So, what do my Sox do? They let Texas hang 2 runs on us in the 1st inning and forced Jose Urquidy to throw 38 pitches right out of the gate. We handed you an early lead, and it snowballed into an 11-2 mess. But like every athlete says, we’re wiping the slate clean and moving on to Game 2. I need a win… LET’S GO SOX!

Leesl: Oh, classic Andy—always finding a way to make a Texas offensive explosion sound like a White Sox gifts-and-favors department! You didn’t let us score, Andy; our bats went up there and earned every single one of those 11 runs. But hey, today is a fresh start, and as any Rangers fan knows, seeing which team shows up tonight is part of the ride. Let’s see if we can lock up the series win in Game 2!

Before the First Pitch:

To see just how misplaced Andy’s pre-game confidence really was, check out our original series preview below.

Leesl: Welcome to the ultimate house-divided week at The Pint & The Playbook! The Texas Rangers are packing up and heading to the South Side for a crucial three-game midweek series against the Chicago White Sox at Rate Field. Look, my Rangers are in the thick of a wild postseason race, and every single inning on this road trip matters. We need these wins!

Andy: Hold on now, let’s state some actual facts here. The White Sox are sitting comfortably on top of the AL Central, playing great baseball, and welcoming Texas to our house. Leesl might be wiping the floor with me in fantasy NASCAR this season, but on the diamond? The Sox are firing on all cylinders. I’m fully expecting a South Side sweep.

Leesl: No stinkin’ way, Andy! You can hold your horses on that sweep talk. But since you’re feeling so high and mighty up there in first place, we need an official living room wager for this three-game set!

📝 The Official Series Terms and Conditions!

Party A: Leesl (Texas Rangers) | Party B: Andy (Chicago White Sox)

Governing Venue: The Living Room | Effective Dates: Midweek Series

WHEREAS, the Texas Rangers and Chicago White Sox are engaged in a three-game baseball series, both Parties hereby agree to the following binding contractual penalties:

  • Section 1.1 (The Victor’s Compensation): The winning Party is fully exempt from all household labor for seven (7) consecutive days and shall have their victory craft beer poured and served directly to them upon request.
  • Section 1.2 (The Loser’s Liability): The losing Party assumes 100% Kitchen & Dish Duty, effective upon the final pitch of Game 3. Said duty includes, but is not limited to: scraping, scrubbing, loading, unloading, and locating the kitchen sink without assistance.
  • Section 1.3 (Enforcement): No appeals, no renegotiations, and no excuses.

Andy: Whoa, whoa, whoa… a full-blown Terms & Agreement? Section 1.2?! Now that is high stakes! But honestly, I’m signing on the dotted line with zero hesitation. If the Rangers drop this series and you end up under Section 1.2, I’m genuinely concerned. I might have to draw a map to the sink and write out step-by-step instructions on how to operate the dishwasher because I know Leesl hasn’t laid eyes on the kitchen in months.

Leesl: Oh, laugh it up, Andy! Look, as long as I know where the beer glasses and chip bowls are, that’s about 90% of household management right there! But don’t go printin’ out those sink directions just yet. My Rangers are taking care of business on the South Side, and you’re going to be the one on dish duty all week… I’m just sayin’!
