Thanksgiving Edition:
🦃 The Turkey Was Good, But the W Was Better: My DakStreet Boys Take Down KC! 🍻
Leesl: Talk about a Thanksgiving feast! I’m still buzzing from that incredible game. As a lifelong fan, there’s nothing quite like the Dallas Cowboys on Turkey Day, and this year, my DakStreet Boys served up a victory that was pure, star-studded magic right on my TV. Forget the carving knife, because it was Dak Prescott who sliced up the Kansas City Chiefs’ defense for a thrilling, white knuckle 31-28 win!
This wasn’t an easy, gravy boat game; this was a showdown. And Dak? He delivered a clutch performance, leading the offense with 320 yards passing and two touchdowns. He was cool under pressure, completing 10 of 12 passes when the pocket was collapsing. That’s the QB we know and love!
And let’s talk about CeeDee! Seven catches for 112 yards and a crucial touchdown. His highlight reel of the day? A spectacular 51-yard over-the-shoulder catch that sparked a key drive. That’s pure CeeDee!
Honestly, the best feeling was watching our defense rattle Patrick Mahomes, sacking him twice and forcing crucial incompletions that killed their momentum at key moments. And I have to give the shout out to the offensive line – they held the fort when the game was on the line, especially on the final, clock-killing drive. Protect the Star!
Forgive my turkey coma chatter, but I felt like this game was a true playoff teaser and shows we have the grit to make a serious push for the post-season! ⭐💙
🥶 Black Friday Beatdown: Da Bears Ran the Ball and Stole the Soul of the Champs! 🍻
Andy: My Da Bears went into Philly for a Black Friday NFL Special. And it was special only for my Bears. They dominated the defending Super Bowl Champs on a very chilly Friday afternoon.
The offense controlled the line of scrimmage and the clock for over 39 minutes. They ran for 281 yards and had two runners run for 100 yards each. (First time this has happened since 1985). They also ran 34 more plays than Philly. The passing game still needs work, but they did enough for the win.
The defense also stepped up. Nahshon Wright had a strip sack on the Philly Tush Push with the Eagles at the Bears 11-yard line. This really turned the game into a route as Philly never recovered. The run defense, ranked 28th in the league coming in, held Philly to 87 yards. This forced the Eagles to throw 34 times, and their only meaningful success came late, when the game was already decided. Having two starters back in the secondary couldn’t have come at a better time.
I’m very happy they have won 9 of 10, but they still have work to do. Starting with a road game against the Packers next Sunday. They need to reverse the curse the Packers have over them with 16 wins in 18 games over the last 10 years. Sunday would be a great time to start! Go Bears! 🐻
The Week Ahead: Defining Moments! 🔮
The stakes could not be higher for both sides of this rivalry blog as we head into Week 14.
Leesl: This Thanksgiving win against the Chiefs wasn’t just a holiday victory; it proved we can beat any team on our schedule. The road to the Super Bowl still runs through the NFC, but for the first time this season, the Cowboys have served notice: We are a threat!
Andy: This isn’t the “Wait ’til Next Year” Bears anymore. This team, built on a crushing run game and a timely, turnover-obsessed defense, has proven it belongs. With nine wins in ten, my Bears are officially legitimate NFC contenders, and everyone should start taking notice. Now, bring on the Packers!
