Leesl: From the gleam of classic chrome to the glow of a sports ticker. After Scottsdale’s polite, high-end drama, we drove to Vegas to address some unfinished business: settling a few rivalry scores we missed while checking out some amazing cars. The Playbook here is simple: Bet big, win bigger, and find a good pint!
Andy: The house may always win, but against Leesl? I like my odds. The Bellagio Sportsbook was our office for the afternoon and we had a few games to bet on. Our goal isn’t always about money; it’s bragging rights.
Leesl: For NFL, I am down two games going into Week 7. And I need to get back to an even playing field or my season could be finished. I placed my first bets on the Cowboys – to cover the spread and I took the over on the over/under line. For my second pick, I picked San Francisco to just straight up win. So, only three bets but a lot on the line!
Andy: I put my money on Detroit over Tampa on the Moneyline and Green Bay to cover 7 on Arizona and I took the over on the over/under line.

Our home in Las Vegas – the Bellagio!
This was our first stay at the Bellagio, and it won’t be the last. It’s famously known as iconic, grand & elegant! From the minute you walk through the door and see the intentional, artful details like the glass flowers by Dale Chihuly in the lobby and the beautiful, seasonal decor in the Conservatory display – it’s timeless, sophisticated, a classic Las Vegas feel that is still elevated today.
So, how did the bets go?
Leesl: I gained a game and I’m happy with that. My Cowboys covered the spread and took the over on points – that with the San Francisco win gave me 3-0.
Andy: Detroit also won for me and Green Bay won the over so you did gain a game so next week will be interesting as we reset our battles!
Leesl: My final rivalry bet didn’t go as well. I really needed Seattle to beat the Blue Jays to clinch the playoffs and win the bracket, but alas, that didn’t happen. So, we’ll have to settle that both our postseason brackets were busted and we ended the season with a rivalry tie! Time for a reset… and a refill.

Time for some brews!
Andy: It was time for a break from games and bets! So, we headed across the street and were surprised to find us a honky tonk in the middle of the strip – Ole Red’s.
Leesl: We love Nashville, country music so this was a perfect distraction. This place had it all for us – southern food and all-day live country music on stages ranging from a main floor with a huge screen to an exclusive rooftop patio. We sampled and loved the Tennessee brewed Ole Red Ale. Malty, with caramel notes, it was a well-balanced American variety hops with citrus, pine flavors.
Andy: It was the perfect post-bet pint. Pint Score: 4.25/5!
Vegas settled a few scores and filled us with that one of kind electric Vegas vibe! We successfully mixed sports strategy in the Bellagio with some down-home country comfort at Ole Red’s. It’s tough to beat the spectacle of the Strip, but we’re ready to trade in the crowded sportsbooks for wide-open ocean views. Next up: San Diego!
