We’ve had Rollertown Beerworks on our radar for a while. Located right on Main Street in Frisco, Texas, this city has quickly transformed into the ultimate sports capital of the Metroplex—home to Toyota Stadium (where FC Dallas plays) and just down the road from The Star, the Dallas Cowboys’ world headquarters.

So when local sports radio legends Ben & Skin opened Rollertown’s massive new facility right in the heart of all this sports madness, we knew it was only a matter of time before we made the trip.

For our August Pint of the Month, we finally pulled into Rollertown on Main Street.

So What’cha Want? (How About 2.5 Acres of Beer?)

Moving from their original 3,500-square-foot spot in Celina, Ben and Skin went all out on this $12 million downtown Frisco headquarters. Sprawled across 2.5 acres right next to the historic landmark grain silos, the complex features a massive 15,000-square-foot production facility and a sleek, two-story taproom offering over 6,000 square feet of indoor space.

The real showstopper, though, is the outdoor setup. You can grab a pint and hang out on the 4,300-square-foot front beer garden, or wander out to the 25,000-square-foot artificial turf “Back Yard.” The venue is so massive that while we were there, they hosted a full Beastie Boys cover band on the live performance stage, and it barely dented the lawn. Whether you are catching an energetic tribute set by the stage, finding an intimate booth downstairs, or checking out the sports-bar atmosphere upstairs, the pure scale of this venue means you always have breathing room.

You Gotta Fight for Your Flight?

If you like to sit down with a cute wooden paddle of four mini-pours to compare notes, you’re out of luck here. However, they make up for it by being super generous with free tasters at the bar. The caveat? The place gets busy. You can’t exactly stand at the counter for 15 minutes holding up the line while contemplating flavor notes, so you have to know what you want, taste fast, and make your play!

Rhymin’ & Stealin’ the Tap List

After doing a quick round of rapid-fire tasting at the bar, here is how the tap list stacked up for us:

• Rollertown Light (The Ol’ Reliable): We were already fans before walking in, and it absolutely held up. Clean, crisp, and ridiculously easy-drinking—the exact lawnmower beer you want in hand while standing on their massive 25,000-square-foot lawn.
• The Landlord (Scottish Ale): Rich, malty, and super smooth with a nice hint of sweetness. A solid, hearty departure from the lighter lagers on tap.
• Who’s the Hefe? (Leesl’ Personal Favorite): A standout wheat beer packed with traditional clove and banana notes. It’s bold, refreshing, and brought some serious main-stage energy to our tasting line.
• The Big German (The Dirk Homage): Named for Mavs legend (and investor) Dirk Nowitzki, this Kölsch is a total crowd-pleaser. Golden and crisp with minimal hop bitterness, it’s as smooth and reliable as Dirk’s signature fadeaway jumper.

Ch-Check It Out: Our Winner “Who’s the Hefe?”

Our official Pint of the Month is none other than Leesl’ fav Who’s the Hefe? While traditional Bavarian yeasts throw standard clove and banana notes, Rollertown’s brew elevates the entire style with a nostalgic twist: a subtle, velvety bubble gum sweetness on the back end. It is incredibly crisp, flawlessly balanced, and finishes with just enough smooth fruit character to make you immediately drop your playbook and line up for another round. Trust us on this play—it is the ultimate late-summer patio reward. Like MCA said, it’s got more bubble gum than Hubba Bubba, so grab a pint, run the playbook, and get on down!

The Final Mic Drop (Okay, No More Beastie Boys Puns…)

If you haven’t noticed by now, we clearly threw the entire Beastie Boys discography at this review—and honestly, we won’t even pretend to apologize for it. But all puns aside, Rollertown Beerworks blew us away.

They took 2.5 acres of downtown Frisco and turned it into an absolute powerhouse of sports culture, live music, and top-notch Texas craft beer. Whether you’re hanging on the lawn catching a show or hiding out upstairs with a cold glass in hand, it’s the ultimate weekend play.
