Three weeks down, deadlocked at 31-17, and the rivalry is just getting started!
If you’re new to our site, welcome to a marriage perpetually divided by team loyalty, regional pride, and sheer stubbornness. Here’s what you need to know about us: we love good craft beer, we disagree on almost every sporting event, and we haven’t stopped keeping score since the day we said, “I do.”

Back from the Resort & Back on Track: Our Weekly NFL Rivalry (Week 4)
Leesl: If you caught our recent stay at Stillwater RV Resort, you know we spent last weekend lounging by a swim-up bar, stargazing from site #60, and catching the games live at the clubhouse. We may have hit pause on writing our Week 3 post while traveling in our RV “Betty,” but make no mistake: the picks never stopped!
Three weeks into the regular season, the entire league is a total puzzle. We’re all trying to figure out who’s legit, who’s pretender status, and why half the league’s starting quarterbacks seem to be sitting on the bench with ice packs.
Who Saw This Coming?
Andy: Here we are, three weeks in, and I dare anyone to explain this league with a straight face. At 3-0, are Vegas and Minnesota actual powerhouses or just living on borrowed time? On the flip side, are 0-3 teams like the Chargers and Texans really that bad? Add in six starting quarterbacks already sidelined—a position that was already razor-thin across the league—and teams are scrambling just to keep the offense functioning.
Leesl: Inconsistency is the name of the game right now. Look at the defending champion Seahawks: they open with two solid wins and then turn around and lose to Washington with Marcus Mariota under center! And what about the preseason Super Bowl darling Rams? They’re sitting at 1-2 and have looked utterly lost at times. Is this the hangover from resting all their starters in the preseason? Hopefully, October brings some actual stability to the league—especially for our two favorite teams.
🔒 Here is where our household rivalry stands as October kicks off! Our picks are locked in!

Where We Split ⚡
Only on picks… we still share the nachos!
1. LAR at PHI
Leesl (LAR): I’m putting my faith in Matthew Stafford and the Rams on the road. Vegas has Los Angeles as a 3.5-point favorite for a reason, especially after Philadelphia got thoroughly exposed on Monday Night Football. Andy….backing the Eagles here, makes zero sense—why would you pick a team that your own Bears just dominated 27-7 four days ago? Easy win for LA! 🐏
Andy (PHI): That Monday night game was a fluke, and Lincoln Financial Field is still one of the toughest places in the league for a visiting team. The Eagles’ defense is going to bounce back, force turnovers, and protect home turf. Don’t let Vegas fool you! 🦅
2. KC at LV
Leesl (KC): The Raiders might be 3-0, but I think Andy is completely blinded by early-season hype. This is an AFC West rivalry game, and when the bright lights turn on in Las Vegas, I’m rolling with Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid every single time. Kansas City is a 4.5-point road favorite, and they’re going to hand the Raiders their first reality check of the year. 👑
Andy (LV): Kirk Cousins and the Raiders have been playing efficient, mistake-free football. Allegiant Stadium is going to be rocking, and Las Vegas has matched Kansas City’s energy all season. Taking the home underdog in a division clash is where smart picks are made! 🏴☠️
Our Team Check-In: DakStreet Boys vs da Bears!
Leesl: I don’t even know what to say about my boys. That Baltimore game was so winnable, but in classic Cowboys fashion, we snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Seven seconds left, holding the lead, and instead of kicking short to bleed the clock, we kick it out of the end zone! Baltimore drives down, kicks a field goal, and boom—another “W” turned into an “L”. The defense looked right out of last year’s nightmare reel. Are the Cowboys going to frustrate me for the next three months the same way the Rangers just did for six? Lord have mercy… 🤯
Andy: Time to look at my Bears, who are the literal poster child for inconsistency. Week 1: we drop 59 points. Week 2: we score 3. Week 3: we bounce back with 27! With our starter and backup both sidelined, Case Keenum had to step under center against Philly and did a fantastic job leading us to a victory. I still don’t know who’s taking the snaps this week, but October’s schedule looks ripe for us to string together some wins. Let’s go Bears! 🐻

📜 Our House Rules:
The only non-negotiable rule in our house: No matter the spread, the injury report, or how rough the matchup looks, Leesl is legally obligated to ride with the Cowboys, and Andy must back the Bears. Picking against your own team is grounds for immediate disqualification and total public shame.
Post-Game Settlement 🏆
With our sheets deadlocked at 31-17, there is zero margin for error on either side this week. Sunday night will either crown a clear leader for Week 4 or leave us right back where we started—deadlocked and gearing up for another week of relentless household banter.
Over to You! 📣
Since our entire household battle hinges on just two split games (LAR at PHI and KC at LV), we want to hear from you! Are you rolling with the solid favorites, or taking a gamble on the underdog wildcards to save your sheet this weekend?
